The WECSG team will be putting together Sweet Cases for Together We Rise!

By | Food for thought, Giving Back, Not for Profit | No Comments

This week, the WE team will be putting together Sweet Cases for Together We Rise!

Together We Rise is a not for profit organization whose mission is to improve the lives of children in foster care in America.

Many foster children are forced to leave their homes very suddenly, and they often have to quickly gather their belongings in a trash bag. Arriving at your foster home with your belongings in a nice bag that is filled with some comfort items that someone took the time to personalize can help a kid feel a little better about himself. The bags we put together will be delivered to local foster children in NYC.

Learn more about Together We Rise and ways you can get involved by visiting their website at or check them out on Facebook.

WECSG is proud to Sponsor Felicia Bechtel in NYC Marathon for The Francis X. Ahearn Sr. Foundation!

By | Community, Giving Back, Not for Profit, Uncategorized | No Comments

We salutes all of those runners who are competing in this Sunday’s New York City Marathon, especially all of those who are competing to raise money and awareness for their favorite causes. One of those causes is The Francis X. Ahearn Foundation, who will be represented by Felicia Bechtel.

Through Fred’s Team, all donations flow directly to the Francis X. Ahearn Foundation’s Fund at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. If you have ever experienced a friend or family member battling cancer, you understand the last thing someone should be worrying about are the everyday costs like a car or mortgage payment. Or things that most of us take for granted, like heat during the winter or putting food on the table.

It is important to note that EVERY penny donated to the Francis X. Ahearn Foundation Fund will help one of the these deserving families concentrate on what is most important, fighting cancer!

You can help Felicia make a difference by donating to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Fred’s Team at

Go, Felicia!

Our NFP for September is The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation!

By | Community, Giving Back | No Comments

WE announces our Not for Profit of the month for September… the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation!

IPF, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, is deadly, as there is no effective cure to date. Diagnosis is typically delayed as the symptoms are insidious and not many people know about the disease. Recently, the first 2 FDA approved medications to slow the progression of disease were released. This is a huge breakthrough in the world of IPF, and it is because of the work of organizations like the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, that help to support research funding and get the word out about this horrific disease which robs people from the ability to breathe.
